What is underlighting?
The light that comes from under the subject, making shadows which gives a spooky feel
What is cool lighting?
Blue tones which create a cold, gloomy feel
What is warm lighting?
Yellow and orange tones which give a warm and happy feel
What is the purpose of backlighting?
It is placed behind the subject and makes them stand out which adds depth
What is high-key lighting?
Bright lighting which feels positive and its often used in advertising
What is the purpose of the key light?
Its the strongest light and helps to set the mood
What is the purpose of the fill light?
Its on the opposite side to the key light. It adds dimension, softens shadows and prevents the image looking flat
What is low-key lighting?
Low lighting creates a serious or dramatic mood
