What were some longer-term causes of the Munich Putsch?
The grievances from the ‘stab in the back’, reparations and the loss of Germany’s colonies had been building up. Amongst a lot of Germans, there was a deep resentment of the Weimar Republic. Also from 1919 to 1923, the NSDAP had been growing in Munich.
What were some medium-term causes of the Munich Putsch?
Hitler saw how Benito Mussolini, the leader of a right-winged party called the Fascists, took control in Italy via a Putsch which showed its successfulness to Hitler.
