A

The process of the world becoming more connected and interlinked. Countries become interdependent. The world is “shrinking” and becoming a single community.

A

Connections are…
LENGTHENING - new links being formed between places far apart - eg you can fly to any country
DEEPENING - more people are becoming involved with far away places - eg anyone can buy products from all over the world in their local supermarket

A

have grown and developed global production and sales networks.
Promoted and spread new technologies
Promoted particular cultures - eg Mcdonalds - western styled fast food to other countries
Potential investment and creation of jobs in host country.

A

developing countries - large population and increasing wealth - will want to buy new products.
Shares in companies - exchanges in LDCs are getting bigger and attracting more investment eg mumbai
Availability of new markets encourages more global trade which accelerates globalisation
