What is an electric field, general description?
This field is a conceptual quantity exists in all space
What is the electric field(E)?
The E field at a point in space is the force acting on a unit positive charge placed at that point.
The equation for E field strength on a test charge at a point in space?
E = F / Q (V/m)
How can a force acting on a charge be calculated?
The force acting on a charge can be calculated from the E in which it is placed.
F = EQ
The E field of a positive point charge?
Superposition of electric fields(like charges)?
Electric field structure (like Charges)
Superposition of electric fields(unlike charges)
How can the acceleration of a charged particle be calculated?
F = ma & F = Eq
a = qE/m
SUVAT can then be used to solve problems
