If a problem is fixed, a circuit breaker can be switched back on and also works quicker

What are circuit breakers?
A
- they are alternatives to fuses
- automatic switches which turns off if it detects a current which is too high in a circuit

What are fuses?
A
- Early warning system to prevent appliances being damaged by surges in electricity
- Thin wire with high resistance
- If the current is too high it breaks the circuit
- Protects the cable from overheating
- Fuse is made of insulating material

Returns current to the supply company to complete the circuit. 0V
