8
Q

Paper chromatography.

A

Based on the affinity (towards the solution and whether it had a mobility or stationary affinity) will dedictate how far the ink(eg) would move up a paper. Mobil affinity to solution will lead it further down the paper (follows the solution till the tip to where the paper absorbs the solution) & vice versa.

16
Q

Kelvin

A

Measurement of Temperature: Proportional to the average Kinetic energy of the particles. Absolute zero is equivalent to NO kinetic energy in the particles. This is approximately -273°C

17
Q

Kelvin –> °C

A

Kelvin - 273

18
Q

°C—> Kelvin

A

C° + 273

19
Q

Pure Substance

A

Element & Compound: chemically bonded

20
Q

Mixture

A

A mixture is a physical blend of two or more substances that preserve their identities. EG. Heterogenous or Homogenous
