Lowlands: Lowlands(Lunar Maria)

17
Q

Image 1: The sun, ISS and Atlantis Shuttle?

A

The ISS orbits earth every 90 mins

18
Q

Image 2: Solar Eclipse. What is required for it to happen.

A

Happens when Moon is between sun and Moon.

Angular size of the Moon and Sun is about 0.5 degrees.

Perfect alignment in the same plane is required for the eclipse to happen. This is rare because the plane of the orbit of the Moon is inclined approximately 5 degrees relative to Earth’s orbit around the sun.
