Tooth Morph Flashcards
What is the contact area?
Where each tooth touches an adjacent tooth.
Crown of the tooth is divided into thirds… the contact point is usually in the middle third (except for incisors)
What are embrasures?
V-shaped gaps between the teeth, above (occlusal embrasures) and below (gingival embrasures) the contact point
What is the line angle?
The junction between two surfaces, eg mesiolablial line angle joins the mesial and labial surface.
What is the points angle?
The junction between three surfaces, eg, mesiobuccal-occlusal point angle is the point where the mesial, buccal and occlusal surfaces meet.
Permanent roots are usually…?
Distally inclined
Primary roots are usually…?
