Tools that you will use to select portions of an image to edit.
Selecting Tool
Tool that lets you select, move, or modify specific points or path segments in a path or a shape. (allows a user to select individual points of any object.)
Direct Selection Tool
Tool that lets you select objects, anchor points, or path segments by dragging along all or parts of the object.
Lasso Tool
Tool that creates a selection based on
the shift in brightness ranges within an image.
Magic Wand Tool
Tool that simplifies path creation and makes drawing easy and intuitive.
Curvature Tool
This tool lets you draw connected lines and curves with precision using anchor points and direction handles. (a path creator)
Pen Tool
Tool that allows you to draw straight paths with
a few mouse clicks.
Line Segment Tool
You can type out lines of horizontal text or align text to follow a vector path, to name just a few functions. (inarguably one of the most
important tools within Adobe Illustrator)
Type Tool
Tool that’s one of the tools found in the tools palette. (you can create vector images that are quite complex.)
Paintbrush Tool
Tool that lets you create rectangular and artwork.
Rectangular Tool
Tool that’s essentially a brush. Tool is essentially a brush. You can change the size, hardness and spacing, just like any other brush. It’s also possible for you to change the mode from Brush to Pencil or Block.
Eraser Tool
Tool that’s used for drawing free path lines,
just as if you are using an actual pencil to draw on the paper. paper. (It offers you the freedom to draw whatever you want digitally but still keeps a little bit of realistic taste.)
Pencil Tool
Tool that allows you to easily resize in Illustrator. (tool that lets you enlarge or reduce objects and shapes.)
Scale Tool
To rotate the object around its center point, drag in a circular motion anywhere in the document window.
Rotate Tool
Tool that allows you to rotate, scale (resize), reflect (mirror image), shear (slant), or distort an object. You can apply perspective and distortion to an object.
Free Transform Tool
Tool lets you create variable-width strokes,
and create stroke profiles so you can apply styles consistently.
Width Tool
Tool selected, you can click and adjust any handle in the grid as you like.
Perspective Grid Tool
Tool, which was added in Illustrator CS5, allows you to combine multiple shapes in various. You can merge shapes, as well as subtract one shape from another.
Shape Builder Tool
Tool is used to adjust the appearance of the gradient.
Gradient Tool
Provide a way to easily manipulate color transitions on the object. You can change the intensity of a color shift, or change the extent of a colored area on the object.
Mesh Tool
Tool lets you combine shapes and colors
between two or more objects to create a new object.
Blend Tool
Tool lets you pick a color from an object or an image and apply it to other objects.
Eyedropper Tool
Tool (keyboard shortcut “j”) in the Toolbar. Work for Column and Bar graphs.
Column Graph Tool
It is a great way to repeat instances of your artwork multiple times quickly and efficiently.
Symbol Sprayer Tool
Tool is used in the creation of web pages, and web design works.
Slice Tool
Tool is used to both create and edit artboards.
Arthboard Tool
Tool allows you to zoom in and out quickly by clicking on your Artboard.
Zoom Tool
Tool that’s lets you add anchor points on paths.
Add Anchor Point tool
Tool that’s responsible for panning and moving around a document. No matter what type of artwork you’re working on, you’ll likely need to move around that artwork so that you can see the area that you’re working on. (one of the most used tools in Illustrator.)
