A
They created a secret oath and that was a big crime back then becuse the government belived secret oaths were people trying to rebel against them so it was a serious offence

What happened that started this?
A
U originally got paid 9 shillings a weak but it kept gettig taxed down so these 6 men went to the landlord and demanded to raise their taxes or they would leave but the landlord lowered it even more and didnt care if they left, hungry poor other people would come to there to work.
