它的動詞是compensate,如果查英文字典,得到的字義解釋是「補償、賠償」,但是它的名詞在職場上另指正式的「薪資報酬」的意思,而且是指整個package(套裝組合),有一個比較接近的字稱為「福利」。
比方說公司除了支付每月薪水,還有免費員工午餐、交通車接送上下班、公司配備的免費手機、年假30天等等,以及紅利、員工配股、佣金、利潤分享專案等等,甚至包括旅遊活動、加班費、尾牙吃大餐,這些全部合在一起,統稱compensation。
