Q

counter to low extent 1 and counter objection

A

the bible says there is no other way to be saved expect THROUGH christ. this can be evidenced in john 14:6 where jesus says no one comes to the father except through him

counter: in parable of sheep and goats in matthew 25, Jesus judges not on whether they believed in Jesus but on whether they developed good virtues, sup[porting rahners argument of anonymous christians

Q

counter to low extent 2 and counter objection

A

karl barth would agrue that we can only know God thrpugh the 3 forms of the word - the bible, church and Jesus

counter: barth seems to adopt an inclusivist viewpoint as he also argues that the holyspirit can work in anyone to allow them to inherit salvation, not just chrisitnas who believe in Jesus the bible and the church

Q

counter to large extent 1 and 2 supporting statements

A

rahner argues gospel hasnt reached everyones country and so cannpt hear the gospel, so they must be judged on their moral conduct can be supported by romans which states that people cannot hear the gospel unless they are preached to.

also supported by romans 2 which says that gentiles who do not have the law are a law unto themselves meaning those who dont have set instructions on how to live will be judged on how they act morally
