PBE operation
Remember yellow strap
PBE precautions

- Hair tucked inside
- Don hood promptly after activation to avoid loosing O2
- If hood collapses, remove
- Don’t remove god near flame
Flight deck mask components

Megaphone operation
- Hold with 1 hand
- Squeeze handle
- Speak into microphone
- Rotary volume control if required
How does BCF fight a fire?
BCF is a liquified gas that terminates the combustion process by chemically inhibiting the flame chain reaction.
Pax post incident de-brief info
Factual, technical and operationally relevant
Brief and descriptive
Cabin pressurisation
Pressure and density increased to a level that:
- Provides satisfactory amount of O2 without using O2 bottles
- Body gases aren’t greatly affected
Decompression sickness definition
When nitrogen dissolved in the blood is forced out of solution by decreased atmosphere pressure
Alpine emergency procedure
- Don all clothing
- Distribute pillows and blankets
- FA & RAEE kit
- Stay with aircraft and confirm ELT activated
Flight deck threat procedure
- Check door closed and locked
