How would you finish a cardiovascular examination?
- 12 lead ECG
- Sitting and standing blood pressure
- Fundoscopy for hypertensive retinopathy
- Check the femoral pulses and assess for radiofemoral delay
- Urine dipstick (proteinuria and haematuria associated with hypertension)
How would you finish a respiratory examination?
- Check oxygen saturations
- Peak flow assessment and spirometry
- Cardiovascular examination
- Sputum sample

- Thyroid function tests (TSH, T3, T4)
- ECG (if irregular pulse noted to rule out AF)
- USS of neck to further assess thyroid lumps

- Venous examination of the lower limbs
- Give foot care advice including regular podiatry input and appropriate footwear
