Help patient identify and avoid triggers
Consider sleeping position and if patient grinds teeth
Mediation and stress management
What are two things to consider for neurological?
Cranial nerve 5, specifically mandibular division for muscles of mastication
Cranial nerve 7 for facial muscles
What are 3 things to consider for respiratory/circulatory for TMJ?
Open thoracic inlet, sub occipital release, cervical chain drainage, and possibly thoracic pump at the end.
What 3 things to consider for metabolic for TMJ?
Treating the SD and lymphatic treatments will help deliver oxygen and nutrients and take away waste products. Make sure to rule out any metabolic cause for msk problem like calcium deficiency, renal disease.
