Nouns and articles: most nouns ending in “ad” or “ión” have feminine articles (la universidad), and most nouns ending in “ma” are masculine (el problema)

Descriptive adjectives
Give additional information about objects and people for example: una clase “grande”
agree in gender and number with the nouns they modify and generally follow the nouns ex: “el professor bueno”
adjectives bueno and malo may be place before or after noun, when placed before the final “o” is dropped ex: “un buen estudiante”
Adjectives ending in “e” or a consonant have the same masculine and feminine forms ex: “un libro grande” and “una clase grande”
Time in Spanish
use “es la” for one o’clock and ex: “es la una”
and “son las” with all other hours ex: “son las dos de la tarde”
use “y” to express minutes past or after the hour ex: “son las dos y veinte”
use “menos” for minutes before the hour ex: “Son las siete menos diez’ (it is ten till seven)
cuatro y media mean a quarter and half hour
mediodía y medianoche= noon and midnight
Qué vs Cuál
Both can be tan slated to what or which but they are not interchangeable. Qué is generally used to request a definition or or explanation, it can also be followed by a noun to mean which. Cuál implies a choice or selection and generally is not followed by a noun. Use the plural Cuáles when the choice includes more than one person or thing ex: “Cuáles son los meses del año?
