Timing-relays Flashcards
Referring to a N/O contact of a DOE relay which is set for 5-second delay when voltage is applied to the coil an terminal B.
There is 5 second delay then the contacts close and stay closed
Referring to a N/O contact of a DODE relay which is set for a 5 second delay when voltage is applied to the coil and terminal 6.
Change immediatelly from open to closed and when terminal 6 is de energized, the contact will remain in the closed position for 3 seconds
Time delay timers can have both
N/O an N/C contacts
ANTOC contact must be cnnected to an
on delay relay if it is to be time delayed when closing
Pneumatic Timers
:Are un affected by variations n ambient temperature
:They are adjustable over a wide range of time periods
A clock time, usuallly the
Gear ratio connected to the motor determines the full range of time for the timer
Many electronic timers can be used as
On-delay and off delay timers
pulse timers
one shot timers
pulse timers
contineously turn on and off a regular intrevals.
Programmable contollers contain internal
electronic timers
timers that operate by restricting the flow of air through an orfice to a rubber bellows or diaphragm
Phneumatic Timers
Typicall 8 pin elctronic timers are
on-delay
Off delay phneumatic timers change state on
de-enerigization
OMRON 11 pin ‘on-delay’ electronic timer contacts change state
when preset time has elapsed
