Time Violation. For Davis Cup, Fed Cup, ATP, Grand Slam Trounaments and ITF Men’s Circuit.
SERVER:
First Time Violation - WARNING
Subsequent Violations - POINT, POINT, POINT etc.
RECEIVER:
First Time Violation - WARNING
Subsequent Violations - POINT, POINT, POINT etc.
CHECK!!!
Time Violation: ITF Women’s Circuit, ITF Juniors Circuit, ITF Seniors Circuit and WTA.
First Violation: WARNING
Subsequent Violation: POINT, POINT, POINT etc.
** Doesn’t seem to have loss of serve for these events….
CODE VIOLATION - Delay of Game:
All competitions - if there is a delay in game, what penaties are there?
First Violation: WARNING
Second Violation: POINT
Third Violation: GAME
Fourth Violation: GAME or DEFAULT
Time Violation - Standard situations - “just too slow”
- Over 20 seconds between points as Server (CHECK!**)
- Over 25 seconds between points as Server (ATP)
- Over 90 seconds on change of ends (even after “15 seconds” announcement)
- Over 120 seconds on set break (even after “15 seconds” announcement)
- Not following reasonable pace of the server (as a guideline 12 - 15 seconds)
After a 10 minute break - extreme weather conditions rule. (What is this?)
- Womens tennis only
- “back-to-back” time violations
- Warning, point, point… penalty schedule used (only time violations)
CODE VIOLATION:
When are Delay of Game code violations given?
- Refusal to play, after instruction to play “Let’s play”
- After a time violation (no other point has been played)
- After a medical time-out (30 seconds after “Time”)
- After a 90 second change fo ends medical treatment
- After a set break medical treatment
- As a result of a non-treatable medical condition
- Leaving the court “on his/her own time”
