What’s the date?

Today is May 5.
Hoy es el cinco de mayo.
Tomorrow is May 6.
Mañana es el seis de mayo.
It’s May 10.
Es el 10 de mayo.
It’s April 1st.
Es el primer de abril. (Notice that you use primer instead of primero.)
What time is it?
¿Qué hora es?
It’s 1:00.
Es la una.
It’s 2:00.
Son las dos.
It’s 2:15
Son las dos y cuarto. (Cuarto is used for 15 when telling time.)
It’s 3:30.
Son las tres y media. (Media is used for 30 when telling time.)
It’s 4:40.
Son las cinco menos veinte. (After 30, people will often use this structure, going to the next hour, using menos, and telling how many minutes until the upcoming hour.)

“sharp” referring to time (i.e. It’s 3:00 sharp.)

around (referring to time)
