What protection does wax give to timber?
Can waterproof the woods - enhance natural oils.
What protection does Danish Oil give to timber?
No protection - enhances oils inside wood
What protection does Teak Oil give to timber?
No protection - enhances oils inside wood
What protection does Preservative give to timber?
Able to repel water + moisture and can prevent insect attack.
What protection does Shellac Polish give to timber?
Protects the timber
What protection does Polyurethane Varnish give to timber?
Give better protection compared to polish

Give better protection compared to polish
How do you apply Wax?
Cloth or hand
How do you apply Danish Oil?
Applied by cloth and can be built up in layers.
How do you apply Teak Oil?
Applied by cloth and can be built up in layers.
How do you apply Preservative?
Applied by a process known as tanalising, wood is put in a chamber and the preservative is pumped under pressure allowing the preservative to penetrate the outer cells of the wood. The amount of preservative would = the amount of protection can be applied by brush or spray.
How do you apply Shellac polish?
Can be applied by cloth creating deep high quality finish and be applied in thin layers.
How do you apply Polyurethane Varnish?
Built up in thin layers with brush and be left to dry and then sand.
How do you apply Acrylic Varnish?
Built up in thin layers with brush and be left to dry and then sand.
