Proctor and Gamble introduced Tide in USA 1946. They became brand leader.
What is an Ideology?
Set of opinions or beliefs about a group or individual.
What was Tide ideology?
Targeted women to buy the product on the market?
Why did Proctor And Gamble Launch tide?
They released it to work hand in hand with washing machines a new-found technology which most household had as the market was active.
What is the American dream?
The beliefs that anyone regardless of culture gender and colour can be successful in society. This was upward mobility.
How did the Dream affect the economical rise?
There was more jobs. And the workers were earning much more money leaving them with disposable income.
What is disposable income
Left over money that can be spent on things like consumer goods (washing machine)
What is Hegemonic control
Leadership from one group to another.
What is patriarchal Dominance?
A society dominated by men were women are oppressed.
What is Domestic sphere?
Where woman should stay at home and should not partake in work outside the home
Who was Tide aimed at
Women as Men was targeted to work in the car industry. And women were still viewed stereotypically at home.
