- malignant thyroid Nodules
- solitary toxic Nodules
- subacute thyroiditis ( de quervain’s)
- bleed into a cyst lesion.

A
1- TFT and thyroid antibodies.
2- thyroglobulin levels: suggests malignancy if > 100 mcg/ L.
3- ultrasound.
4- fine needle aspiration.

When is the best time for surgery in thyroid malignant lesions in pregnancy?
A
2nd and 3rd trimester.

What are the symptoms or signs suggesting malignancy in thyroid Nodules?
A
1- past history of radiation the neck or chest.
2- fixed lump
3- lymphadenopathy
4- rapid growth of painless Nodule
5- voice change
6 - neurological involvement (such as Horner’s syndrome ).
