Management in client with THYRD STORM (exageration in the usual hyperthyroidism symptoms)

Consider: Airway
DOC: Lugol’s sol’n and propanolol( beta blocker)
Dont hive ASA for fever
Seizure precaution( provide quiet environment)
Management in thyroidectomy: position, equipment at bedside, assessment.
Position: semi fowler’s
Note for : respi distress
Equipment @BS: tracheostomy set and suction
Assess: hypocalcemia ( give Ca gluconate)
