– all cross the placenta and cause congenital malformations if taken in early pregnancy

Most common causes of hypothyroidism
A
worldwide- iodine deficiency
iodine sufficient contexts - hashimotos (autoimmune thyroiditis, post-thyroid ablation tx)

Hypothyroid treatment
A
levothyroxine: 1-2 mcg/kg/day
Measure TSH q4-6 wks and adjust dose in 25-50mcg increments
Optimize levels before pregnancy
1/3 pregnancies will require inc dosage
