vascular thrombosis
Pregnancy morbidity
Anti-CL Abs IgG or IgM >99th %ile
Anti-B2 gp1 IgG or IgM >99th %ile
Lupus anticoagulant
Diagnostic criteria for catastrophic APS (4)
Evidence of 3 or more organ systems
Symptoms develop simultaneously or within 1 week
Histopathologic confirmation of small vessel occlusion in 1 organ
Presence of APL antibodies
Treatment for catastrophic APS
Steroids
Anticoagulation (hep gtt, then warfarin)
If severe, add PLEX (if MAHA)
Then can do IVIG after PLEX
3 causes of acquired antithrombin deficiency
Liver disease

acute thrombosis
Inpatient Treatment of patient with antithrombin deficiency who develops acute, symptomatic VTE
Argatroban or
ATIII replacement products plus heparin
