What is a threat?
A cybersecurity threat is a malicious act that seeks to damage data, steal data or disrupt digital life in general.
What is a vulnerability?
A vulnerability is a weakness in an IT system that can be exploited by an attacker to deliver a successful attack.
What is an attack surface?
An attack surface is the potential cumulative entry points or vulnerabilities through which unauthorised entities may infiltrate systems, networks or sensitive information.
What is an exploit?
An exploit is a program or a piece of code designed to find and take advantage of a security flaw or vulnerability in an application or computer system, typically for malicious purposes such as installing malware.
What is a risk?
A risk is the potential exposure or loss resulting from a cyberattack or a data breach on your organisation.
