Q

Listing: R Rotation, L Lateral flexion T5/T6

Setup: prone, hypothenar spinous, thenar transverse — assisted

A

PP: pre-positioned into L lateral flexion (right cheek down, right arm overhead)

DP: stand on patient R side (the side that patient needs rotate toward in the case of a SP contact)

Contact: RIGHT hypothenar on lateral surface SP of T5 (so fingertips of the hand closest to Doc faces toward Pt feet). LEFT thenar on TP of T5

Tissue pull: Right — I-S, L-M. Left — S-I

Vector: Right — I-S, L-M and P-A. Left — S-I and P-A

B) resisted

Setup: supine, opposite side crossed arm

A

PP: supine

DP: on either side of patient

Contact: thenar-digit
A) cradle patient (because flexion)
B) don’t cradle (because resisted)

Tissue pull: I-S

Vector: A) assisted—impulse below contact
