A
Malthus believed that population growth would increase and food supply could not be met. This would lead to a situation where the population would suffer without food supply.

In Stave 1, how does Scrooge’s portrayal embody Malthusian ideology?
A
Scrooge embodies Malthusian ideologies in the way that he views the poor in comparison to the rich and how there was inequality. We see this where Scrooge states “If they would rather die, they had better do it and decrease the surplus population.”
