What is propaganda?
ideas or statements that may be false or exaggerated and that are used in order to gain support for a political leader, party, etc.
What is overt bias?
Obvious, non-hidden bias
What is covert bias?
Less visible bias, to inject ideologies, keeping the audiences with a certain viewpoint, without making it so obvious
What is assertion?
Making bold statements
What is a false dilemma?
Only two answers to one problem, making it a false statement
What are plain folks?
Generalizing about the average person and grouping the public together
What is name-calling & pinpointing the enemy?
Laughing at opponents and showing off the opponent’s weaknesses
What is simplification?
Simplifying a complicated situation, resulting in the formation of stereotypical images which are distortions of the truth and lead to prejudice
What are glittering generalities?
Vague words or phrases to evoke positive feelings
What is card stacking?
Selectively including arguments that support your cause while ignoring the counter-arguments
What is Internet personalisation?
Information provided to you according to previous acts, likes, and given information
What is long tail marketing?
Selling a large range of products for which there is a small demand in small quantity
What is social networking?
Expanding the number of one’s business and/or social contacts by making connections through individuals

Obtaining needed services, ideas, or content by soliciting contributions from the online community rather than from traditional employees or suppliers
