thermodynamic Flashcards
define thermal equalibrium
thermal equilibrium is when two objects (at different temps) transfer heat with one another until both objects are the exact same temp
what does the formula Q=MCT mean
Q= thermal energy
C = specific heat capacity
T= temperature (Tf-Ti)
define specific heat capacity
specific heat capacity is how much a certain material acts based on how much heat is added
what is ohms law
V=IR
what does V Stand for in ohms law
V = Voltage
what does I stand for in ohms law
I = current
what does R stand for in ohms law
R = Ressistance
what is the difference between specific heat capacity and latent heat
specific heat capacity is how an object reacts to heat whilst specific latent heat is how an object reacts during a phase change
what is current
current is the movement of electrons over a certain period of time
what is voltage
