What is a toe rise?
To move upward whilst keeping our toes on the floor and maintaing a good instep stretch.
What position are our feet in toe rises?
Parallel 1st
What myst the ankles to in a toe rise?
Keep together.
Where do we move from in a side stretch?
The waist.
Do the hips move in a side stretch?
No they remain in place.
What must we try to do when kicking at the barre?
We try to keep the hips in place and maintain a straight back.
What must we do in a head roll?
Tilt the head in a controlled manner and keep the eye line forward.
When we push up into shoot position, how are the feet and back?
The feet are flat and the back is arched.
What part of the body do we lift to assist back drop positioning?
The pelvic area.
How is the hand in back drop?
The hand is flat and the fingers spread to take the weight.
How are the elbows in shoulder jerks?
They are straight.
What must we do in a toe drag?
Keep the toes on the floor.
What do we work for in a toe heel change movement?
A strong knee action.
What do we do with the body to assist the balance in spins?
We pull up and move the torso slightly forward and we make sure we pressurise the foot and not roll the ankles.
