What is Hue
Produced by the refraction of light, depends on wavelength and how we distinguish a family of colors from another
Value
A measure of the amount of light reflected from a hue

the strength or weakness of the colour

His theories came from religion, connected colours with the 4 elements , believed all colours came from black and white. White being the most fundamental (represents the presence of colour), black being the absence of colour
