TABOOS
Consists of the rules and regulations that are implemented by the state. Defined as being illegal or legal.
LAWS
An individual’s position in his or her society or which carries with it a set of defined rights and obligations.
STATUS
Set of expectations from people who occupy a particular status.
ROLES
Act of following the roles and goals of ones society.
CONFORMITY
Act of violating the prescribed social norms.
DEVIANCE
Is needed to maintain social order and stability.
SOCIAL CONTROL
Elements that promotes social control
INTERNALIZATION
SANCTIONS
An integral part of communicating and incorporating social norms to an individual’s personality.
INTERNALIZATION
Powerful in reading an individual to conform to social norms.
