what is classical conditioning? include an example.
The use of a familiar stimulus to influence behaviour towards a new stimulus b y repeatedly repairing them together, an example would be Pavlov’s dog.
what is Operant conditioning? include an example.
using positive and negative reinforcement to influence new behaviours and change old behaviours. an example would be Skinner’s rat.
what is the social learning theory? include an example.
individuals learn from observing others, and learn from two processes: modelling and reinforcement, they used a Bobo doll as the victim in this experiment.
what is the psycho-dynamic approach? include an example.
behaviour is explained by unconscious thoughts and emotions, examples would be the iceberg theory and the three part psyche theory both discovered by Sigmund Freud.
what is the humanistic approach? include an example.
individuals operate on their own free will, an example is Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
