Desdemona’s removal from a familiar environment isolates her during her ordeal.

Othello - “Yet she must die, else she’ll betray more men”
A
It seems as though Othello is protecting others from getting hurt and “cheated on” as he did, but if we dig a little deeper, we can unearth the truth about this absurd yearning. Othello cares a little too much about his reputation, and the only thing that seems to taint it is his “failing” relationship with Desdemona. By having her die, Othello will supposedly be released from the burden that comes with his cheating wife, and his reputation will still be just as excellent.
