Describe the structures of the Earth including core, mantle and crust

The Earth is divided into 3 layers

1. Crust
   - > the outermost layer
   - > layer of solid rock about 60 - 100 km thick
   - > this layer on the surface is very hard but brittle and can break easily
2. Mantle
   - > the second layer
   - > a thick layer of molten rock
   - > has similar density as that of tar
3. Core
   - > the inner most layer at the center
   - > the temperature is high enough to cross the melting point of the rocks
   - > the high pressure prevents rocks from melting
