Voluntary Provisions
A
- a provision that has been set up and funded by donations and voluntary contributions, and sometimes supported by parents

Private Provisions
A
- provisions that parents need to pay for as it is run by a charity
e.g. creche, private nursery
> will need to be registered by Ofsted for regular care or education

Statutory / Maintained
A
- Settings funded by the government, which have to be available by law.
e.g. schools
> will need to be registered and inspected by Ofsted
> They may be known as maintained settings

A
- Not paid for or funded by Government, but parents do get charged. They have to follow the EYFS
> will be inspected by Ofsted

Home - Schooling
A
- (Education Act 1996) where you are allowed to home-school with acknowledgement from schools or local authority
> children with SEND or school attendance order must be given consent
> learning is monitored by local authority and access to a full time curriculum
