Trespassory taking and carrying away of the personal property of another with the intent to permenetly deprive the possessor (possession) of the property.

  • trespass= non consent or without permission
  • Larceny by trick- gaining consent from lying is not true consent
  • actus reus and mens rea must conincide
  • initial trespass will continue and concur with later mens rea

  • someone who has lawful possession, but not ownership, and converts the property to their own use.
  • conversion is something more than simple asportation
