Play
A composition or piece, also called drama.
Dramatic Conventions
Specific actions used by a writer, director or actor to add a dramatic effect.
Script
The written text of a broadcast, play or film.
Character
An actor in a novel, play or film.
Actor
A person whose profession is to act in dramas, television, stage, films etc.
Director
A person who is in charge of a film, activity, department - directs the whole thing.
Audience
The assembled spectators or listeners at a public event such as a play, film, concert or meeting.
Designer
(set, costume, lighting, sound) A person who plans the look/workings of something prior to it happening, by drawing or planning.
Dialogue
A conversation between two or more characters as a feature of a film, novel or play.
Stage Directions
An instruction on the script indicating the movement, position, tone, effects and lighting for an actor.
Playwright
A person who writes plays.
Elements Of Drama
The elements of drama include focus, tension, symbol, space, mood, contrast and role.
Blocking
To plan or work out the movement of performers in a play, film, pageant etc.
