Development stage

Cohesion
Unity and balance of various aspects of an interpretation
Rhythm
the pace, timing and tempo within the interpretation.
Motion
the movement or implied movement of actors and design features in the theatre space.
Emphasis
Aspects of the interpretation are given a particular focus, importance or prominence
Contrast
Juxtaposition of seemingly different or opposing aspects or qualities within the interpretation.
Variation
Changes to the dynamics of the interpretation
Voice
Instrument actors use; manipulates tone, volume, pitch, tempo and resonance to convey emotion or characterisation
Movement
Planned physical motions of actors that aid the storyline and convey the subtext of the dialogue
Facial expression
Used to convey emotion of character and connect with audience by manipulating various facial features

Character’s narrative role in the plot and storyline and their impact withing the story
