Surveillance
provides continuous exchange of information concerning friendly, hostile, and unidentified air, land, and surface contacts
Tactical Data Link Management
focused on countering the air breathing threat; coordinates with Army Air Defense Artillery to counter theater ballistic and cruise missile threats
Theater Air Defense
The four functions of the CRC are:
Battle Management C2, Surveillance, Tactical Data Link Management, and Theater Air Defense
subordinate to the CRC; extends radar coverage for air defense and airspace control
Control and Reporting Element
Subordinate to the AOC; typically located with the senior Army tactical headquarter
Air Support Operations Center
primary mission is rapid reaction to immediate close air support requests; information exchange and coordination of tactical support for ground forces
Air Support Operations Center
May support and coordinate attacks on known or suspected SSM sites
Air Support Operations Center
principal AF liaison and control element aligned with Army maneuver units; advises ground commander on CAS
