Using violence harms you - Jesus taught ‘those who live by the sword die by the sword’ (Matthew 26). Christians should resolve disputes using non-violent methods.

Turn the other cheek - If someone strikes you, Jesus says to
‘turn to them the other cheek also’ (Sermon on the Mount).

Islam is a religion of peace - Muhammad Ali said ‘Islam is peace and not violence’. Surah 23 teaches to ‘say words of peace’. Therefore, violence should be avoided.
