What are the five steps of the writing process that a writers work must go through?

Prewriting
researching and creating an outline.
The outline is a detailed blueprint of your essay. It will guide you through the process of writing your five paragraph essay.
Drafting
this is where you piece together the information you obtained from research and previous knowledge about the topic.
Revision
this is where you proofread your first draft for spelling errors, punctuation and grammar.
Editing
checking for more grammatical errors and fixing them
Publishing
Make sure your work is organized in the 5 paragraph structure. Make sure your work is tidy. No errors.
The writing process
refers to the steps a writer takes to ensure his/her final written piece is near perfect.
Questions to ask yourself at the prewriting stage:
- What do I want to share about my topic?
- Who is my audience? (Reader)
- How do I want to share my thoughts and feelings?

Expository Writing
exposes or explains a topic using facts. It includes a thesis statement, supporting details, explanatory paragraphs and a conclusion that summarizes the information.
Descriptive Writing
describes a person, place or thing in such a way that the picture is formed in the reader’s mind. This type of writing involves paying close attention to the details by using the five senses.
Narrative Writing
this type of writing tells a story which can be
fictional or non fictional and involve the retelling of events.
