What is a Security Domain?
- A predefined set of related securable items that include reports, tasks, report fields, data sources, and data source filters.
- The securable items that make up a domain do not change.
- Users in the security group can have view or modify access to the securable items.
What is a Security Group?
- A collection of users.
- Users are given group membership as individual users or by identifying groups of users by attributes.
- Attributes may include their position role assignment, or job details such as management level or geographic location.
What is a Domain Security Policy?
- Controls a user’s access to the securable items in the domain.
- Each domain has it’s own domain security policy that contains access to the securable items in the domain.
- Users in the security group can have view or modify access to the securable items.
What secures all delivered items including data sources, report fields, delivered reports, and tasks?

Are custom reports shared by default?
No. Custom reports are visible only to its owner (and to users who have access to manager all custom reports.
How do you control if report writers can use the different sharing options?
Report writers must have access to Report Definition Sharing - All Authorized Users, Specific Groups, or Specific Users domains.

What are the report output options for schedule reports?
Output Type: Select Excel, Report (PDF), or Text (CSV).
Report Tags: Associate report tags with the report output to make the file easy to find.
File to be Deleted After (Days): Specify how many days Workday should keep the report output before deleting it.
Do Not Output an Empty Report: Select this option to suppress the create of an empty file on the My Reports menu if there is no report output and eleminate the corresponding email notification.
Hide Prompt Values: Hides the prompt values of the output type of Excel or Text (CSV).
