most prolific abortion case of the era, fought by feminist lawyer Sarah Weddinngton in defence of Norma McCorvey
She wanted an abortion as she already had 3 children taken into care
She won the case, leading to abortions becoming much more widely available

That women and men would be seen as equal in the eyes of the law

Some began to work in traditionally male jobs such as law and medicine, and two career families began to replace the traditional set up of a male breadwinner and female housewife
