the process of turning liquid into vapour.

a process where water vapor becomes liquid.

the evaporation of water through plant leaves.

liquid or frozen water that forms in the atmosphere and falls back to the earth.

water that flows over the surface instead of being absorbed into groundwater or evaporating.
what is infiltration?
a process where water or a liquid passes into the soil or rocks through gaps.
what is percolation?
the process of a liquid moving slowly through a substance that has very small holes in it.
what is orographic rainfall?
rainfall that is caused when masses of air containing water vapor are forced upwards by physical features such as mountains.
what is groundwater?
Water that is located beneath the surface of the earth.
what is erosion?
the natural process of wearing away of the land by water, ice, or wind
what is deposition?
the laying down of sediments that have been transported by water or wind.
