Bonus Marches- 1932

What was the Bonus marches?
A
They were soldiers who had fought in ww1 suffered from disabilities were being paid annual pension. So 20,000 of these marched into Washington demanded their bonus payments to be paid as it had been agreed they should be paid extra.

What did the president fear?
A
That there would be violence so he sent an army forgeability to remove them

A
Many injured and two babies dies from the tear gas
