They said Zeus should decide who was to get the apple, but Zeus refused and chose the trustworthy mortal Paris, in case he was bias. Athene promised wisdom to Paris. Hera promised great wealth and power. Aphrodite promised the most beautiful woman in the world. Paris chose Aphrodite, and she got the golden apple.

When Peleus Achilles father, saw her, he was furious as he didn’t know her intentions. When Peleus was asleep, Thetis took the baby and brought him to mount Pelion, there was where Achilles was taught by Chiron the centaur. When the war of Troy was announced, he was ready to depart but Thetis tried to stop him but he wouldn’t listen so she put a spell on him so he looked like a girl and he didn’t realise it.
