What is the subject matter for this work?
A plotless work, based around Shakespeare’s The Tempest, each dancer represents a mythical creature. The soliloquy’s from Shakespeares work had each been turned into a solo, but presented in a different order.
What is the physical setting for this work?
- Set: influenced by oriental theatre, the first image is a seascape, filled with taste gauze shapes
- Costume: shiny blue leotards
- Props: a very long silk cloth= represents the sea. Different shapes are created on stage by filling the cloth up with air, making it into wings, and gathering it up into a ball then throwing it out to make waves

Movement: Male dancer is on a lunge, with one leg extended straight to the side. One arm is positioned at the front of the body, and he’s supporting a female dancer in a backbend. Her left hand and foot is supporting her on the floor, and her other arm and leg is lifted up off the floor.
