A

An energy intake of 35-40 kcal/kg and a protein intake of 1.2-1.5g/kg are recommended.
Small frequent meals and snacks should be encouraged as this reduces fasting gluconeogenesis and muscle catabolism
NB rapid switch to catabolism, beware fasting eg over night.
